Resolve Now
focuses on children and young people. The story of Resolve Now isn't about them. It's about who those children became. It's about young people who were struggling with anxiety, ADHD and other difficulties. Young people who simply couldn't handle life.
These weren't problems that appeared out of the blue. They had their roots in childhood. The signs were there from as early as five or six, but often brushed under the carpet. 'They'll grow out of it' is what was said. As the adults that is what we desperately want to believe.
But they didn't. As the children grew, so did their struggles. In the best cases, they were helped by therapists. Sadly other times…

- If only their parents had been better equipped to see the signs.
- If only their classmates who had bullied them had known about the effects of their actions.
- If only their teachers had felt empowered to identify these issues and deal with them.
- If only the community had had the resources to help shoulder this responsibility.
These aren't the struggles of children, teachers or parents. These are the struggles of the community.
- It's our community's job to educate children about the effects of their behaviour.
- It's our community's job to help equip teachers with the tools to tackle bullying.
- It's our community's job to enable parents to see the signs of concern and to get help when needed.
- It's our community's job to make sure that everyone is cared for, with no child falling through the cracks.
Resolve Now was set up for the community by the community. Literally meaning 'here for each other’, it's about taking responsibility as a whole.
It's about teaching children about the importance of caring for others. Through engaging workshops presented in schools, children learn about empathy, diversity and respect. Our targeted curriculum underscores these values so that teachers can reinforce these lessons within the classroom.
It's about helping teachers create the right atmosphere in the classroom. Resolve Now provides regular teacher training sessions. These give teachers the tools to identify problems and take action to solve them.
It's about helping parents lay the right foundations at home. Through regular parenting sessions, they learn practical strategies to raise emotionally-healthy children.
It's about providing support for struggling parents. Resolve Now’s 24-hour hotline is there for anyone who needs advice, support, or just a listening ear. Countless parents have put down the phone feeling relieved and empowered.
And it's about allowing children who struggle with mental health to get the help they need early on. Resolve Now works to give each child referred therapy that will help them express themselves. With a staff of qualified therapists and specialists, the children and young people thrive at the Resolve Now centre. Our services are heavily subsidised, to allow for equal opportunities for all who are in need of our support.
It is about our children knowing that we care. And helping them grow into happy, productive and caring adults.
Resolve Now is all about emotional wellbeing. We offer services that will support every child’s journey to become the best they can be.
