To date we have impacted thousands of children & families nationally and internationally.
Statistically, bullying is one of the principal causes of mental ill health. In fact, as many as 55% of children who are bullied are likely to develop clinical depression as adults. (Europe-wide poll as printed in The Independent Newspaper)
Many children who bully are simply unaware of how their actions affect their peers. Through innovative and interactive workshopsthe children learn about the importance of inclusion, empathy and diversity. They are empowered to look out for others around them, and to make sure that everyone is included and treated fairly. They also learn to be aware of and understand the ramifications of the choices they make.
In this training children are given a crucial understanding of the importance of being aware of their surroundings and how this impacts their own safety. Discussions on how perpetrators work through grooming helps children become more able to detect inappropriate touch and relationships.
Practical tools on how to access help and set healthy boundaries empower children and teens with the life skills to navigate and enjoy friendships and relationships.
Children who lack the skills to interact with others effectively find themselves feeling isolated and lonely. They are also an easy target for bullies and perpetrators who often pick on children who are weaker than them in some way.
Focusing on skills like good listening, empathy and respecting personal space, this training gives children the tools to make good friends, be a good friend to others, and empowers them to handle difficult social situations.
Confidence training is designed to help children appreciate their self-worth. They learn to be proactive and stand up for themselves effectively.
A confident child with a good self-esteem is also better able to access healthyrelationships with positive outcomes. Regardless of their shortcomings helping our young people gain confidence means they can undertake all they set to achieve and reach their true potential.
